Deli Box – with template

I made this box for the inspiration challenge, on Splitcoaststampers. The inspiration came from a picture of luggage that had a floral/paisley pattern and some circles bordered by horizontal bars.

I liked the circles on the floral background so I stamped the tag and bordered it by buttons. For the horizontal lines, I figured I'd attach a thin strip of darker blue cardstock to the bottom of the patterned paper and pierce holes below that. I like the way it turned out.

I decided to make it a deli box, after Momma gave me a box from the deli after supper one night and said to make something out of it. I didn't like the size of the box as it would use more than two pieces of patterned paper or cardstock to cover, so I made a template from the measurements and shrunk it down to fit on two pieces of cardstock.

One of the best things about this box, is that it fits standard size business envelopes, so you can use it to give a bunch of cards to a friend.

I love the Deli Box. I printed the pattern and came up with everything great except the last step. I cannot get the sides to look like yours. Mine has a “V”. I’m not folding the flaps right????
