Now some cards…
I colored the above card using my Copic markers. I like the design, but the colors are so blah that I wasn’t even going to post it – that is until I saw this card while browsing Theresa Momber’s blog. When I saw that card, I new that I needed some brighter colors around the church – who cares if evergreen trees aren’t a lovely lime color? At least the brighten the scene and make it “merry”!

I shrunk the card size from 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ to 5″ x 3-1/2″ and removed the “Merry Christmas” sentiment. I also used koh-i-noor pencils and OMS to color this image instead of Copic markers. The addition of the colored sky and snow also pull the entire image together nicely.
While I was playing around with my koh-i-noor pencils, I also whipped up the card below using Melanie Muenchinger’s recent set “A Year of Flowers”.

i actually like the first card better that the second! i like the depth of the colours… great job on both though..
