It’s a Boy!

I made this baby card using the Lovely Labels stamp set and the new Pure Luxury Lemon Drop cardstock – doesn’t it look delicious?

its_a_boy

The label image was stamped onto PL White cardstock using Vivid Olive ink, trimmed and then mounted to the PL Lemon Drop cardfront with dimensionals. The sentiment from the O Baby stamp set was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink into the center of the label.

I finished the card with the addition of the blue coordinating ribbon from the new Spring ribbon assortment. I tied it in a bow and adhered it to the label with a glue dot.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Lovely Labels (GKD), O Baby (GKD)
  • Ink: Vivid Olive (GKD), Tuxedo Black Memento (GKD)
  • Paper: PL Lemon Drop (GKD), PL White (GKD)
  • Accessories: Blue Gingham Ribbon (GKD), Glue Dots, Dimensionals

One more stamp set to preview – the Lovely Labels stamp set by Nina Brackett. This is a very large set (fills two binder sheets) full of label images designed in a wide variety of styles.

I chose to make a little gift item filled with candy using a pillow box from Gina K. Designs. The pillow box is filled with white mints and then tied closed with a bow.

The label image was stamped onto Pure Luxury Smoky Slate cardstock using white ink and I stamped one of the word images inside the frame. I trimmed the label and secured it to the pillow box using mounting tape and Scor-tape. The flower embellishment was adhered with a glue dot and round brown button was added to the center of the flower.

Thinking of You – scallops

Here is an uber simple card that I whipped up yesterday…

red_thinking

The main cardbase is the new Soft Sand cardstock from Gina K. Designs, and the patterned paper is from the Rich and Shabby Digi Pack by Emily Giovanni. I punched out the scallop border using Chocolate Kiss cardstock and added a thin line of glitter above the border using Frosted Lace stickles.

I used the word “thinking” from the Punchy Words stamp set and stamped it on vanilla cardstock using a red ink. The “of you” sentiment is from the Flowers for Daisy stamp set and was stamped in Rich Cocoa Memento ink.

I then punched out the sentiment using my label punch, added two nail brads, and mounted the label to the cardbase using dimensionals.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Puncy Words (GKD), Flowers for Daisy (GKD)
  • Ink: Rich Cocoa Memento (GKD), rustic red
  • Paper: PL Soft Sand (GKD), PL Chocolate Kiss (GKD), Vanilla
  • Accessories: Rich and Shabby digi paper, stickles, dimensionals, label punch, nail brads, scallop punch

If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the first day’s sneak peaks on Gina K.’s blog. She posted a picture of the FABULOUS new cardstock color “Soft Sand”! It doesn’t have the green hue like some sand cardstocks and it doesn’t have the speckles in it like Kraft – But it does have the Pure Luxury feathery feel to it!

100_sweet

I used the Soft Sand cadstock as my cardbase for the 100% Sweet card above. This card features a cupcake design from Rupa Shevde’s latest set called “100% Sweet”. It’s full of sweet images that can be used for almost any occasion – birthday, thank you, invitation, get well, etc.

The cupcake image was stamped on Pure Luxury white cardstock and colored with copic markers: BG49, YG63, Y21, E31, YR31 and Y15. The image is  cut out using the nestabilities Label dies.

The striped cardstock was created with my Scor-Pal and a crimped border was added to separate the printed paper from the yellow carsdtock. The printed paper is from a digi paper kit that coordinates with Rupa’s stamp set.

The next sample is using Theresa Momber’s new “Happy Camper” stamp set. It has several fun camping/outdoor related images and is a great one for guy cards!

many_smore

I stamped the ‘marshmallow-on-a-stick’ image onto Pure Luxury white cardstock and colored it in with copic markers: E37, E57, Y21, and E50. The ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment was then stamped above it, and I layered the white cardstock onto a piece of Pure Luxury Black Onyx.

The black panel was then mounted to the olive cardfront and I added a copper brad and stamped the additional sentiment.

Be sure to check out the other design team members’ samples.

More May Cards…

I didn’t get cards made for the release party, but here are my designs using the newest stamp sets from Gina K. Designs.

First is the Eclectic Summer Kit:

may_navy

The kit includes cardstock, stamps, ribbon, etc. – watch the [Eclectic Summer StampTV Kit video] on StampTV to see all the supplies.

For the card above, I used a dark, drab green cardbase and stamped the flower image from the summer kit using white ink.

The navy panel was cut from the new In the Navy cardstock using my nestabilities Labels dies and then embossed with the polka-dot embossing folder. The sentiment is from the [Puncy Words stamp set] and is stamped on layering weight pure luxury white cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

The striped navy ribbon was the perfect addition to the card, and I attached it with a decorative pin….well…it’s actually one of the pins that held the tie to a dress shirt that I bought…but it was ther perfect way to attach the ribbon to the card!

After I attached the ribbon, the navy panel was secured to the cardfront with dimensionals.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Eclectic Summer Kit (GKD), Punchy Words (GKD)
  • Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento (GKD), White
  • Paper: In the Navy (GKD), PL White (GKD), drab green
  • Accessories: Striped Navy Ribbon (GKD), Nestabilities, Embossing Folder, Tie Pin, Dimensionals
Busy, Busy, Busy!

This weekend was my sister Koleesa’s graduation and open house, so our family was busy preparing all week. Now that the graduation is over, my brother and I will be headed down to Kansas with our first cousin, once removed, to spend the week working around her property – building a fence, fixing up stuff, and other maintenance projects.

I don’t have any projects scheduled for this next week, so I won’t be posting anything until next Wednesday when I get back.

I do have my sisters graduation announcement to post though – here it is:

100 YEARS

I made this card for our friends who are celebrating their 60th birthdays, and 40th anniversary with a 100 year party, but I forgot to photograph it in my studio before we left for the party, so I ended up photographing it in the car.

100_years

I used my JustRite stamper to stamp the “100 YEARS” onto Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock before cutting it out and embossing with with my label nestabilities die.

The white flowers on the window sheet is from Stampin’ Up!, and is secured to the Kiwi Kiss carsdtock with Copper Brads. I wrapped some Chocolate Twill around the card front and mounted the label with dimensionals.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: JustRite (Stampers Dream)
  • Ink: Rich Cocoa Memento (GKD)
  • Paper: Kiwi Kiss (SU!), PL Ivory (GKD)
  • Accessories: Window Sheet (SU!), Chocolate Twill (PTI), Label Nestabilities (GKD), Copper Brads (GKD)
