Busy, Busy, Busy!

This weekend was my sister Koleesa’s graduation and open house, so our family was busy preparing all week. Now that the graduation is over, my brother and I will be headed down to Kansas with our first cousin, once removed, to spend the week working around her property – building a fence, fixing up stuff, and other maintenance projects.

I don’t have any projects scheduled for this next week, so I won’t be posting anything until next Wednesday when I get back.

I do have my sisters graduation announcement to post though – here it is:

These two cards use the same design as my previous card, but they are all digital. I needed a card that just said “Praying for you” in a large font, but since I didn’t have any stamps, I designed the image on my computer using Photoshop Elements. Then I printed it out onto Spring Moss and Pure Luxury White cardstock.

I used the same white gel pen and copic markers to color the green card, and then I used a pink marker to color the flower on the white card.

Digi Paper Tips and Tricks

Link: Digi Paper Tip Sheet (1.5 MB)

Click the link above to view my Digi Paper tip sheet. I tried to make it more of an introduction to digi papers so that those who may not have tried them can give it a shot and see how versatile they can be.

There are plenty of pictures and I tried to make it clear enough to follow in any photo program that you already own, but feel free to shoot me an email if you run into problems. Also, don’t hesitate to leave a tip that you use – either in a comment here or via email – if you don’t mind me adding it to the sheet (and I’ll give you credit).

Feel free to share this with your friends or post elsewhere if you want.

Sneak Peak #3

Remember, tonight is the [Gina K. Designs] release party in our member forum on Splitcoaststampers from 7:00-10:00 Central Time. Hope to see you there!

Today is also Thursday, which means another sketch challenge on [Stamp TV] with a chance to win a free stamp set. This week’s sketch was drawn by Donna and it really made me try something new. I hope you have as much fun as I did on this sketch.

I used the new “Wreath of Happiness” stamp set for this card as well as the new digi paper designed by Emily Giovanni that will be released tonight.

Watch for a post about digi paper later today…I still have to add a little more info.

Be sure to stop by the other design team members blog’s to see more cards with this set and Melanie Muenchinger’s latest stamp set:

Sneak Peak #2

FYI: The release party will start tomorrow (Thursday) at 7:00 PM Central time in the Gina K. Designs Member forum on Splitcoaststampers, and the stamps will be released at 10:00PM. Hope to see you there.

Today’s preview is Asela Hopkin’s newest stamp set “Zoo Animals”. It has many cute and cuddly animals – plus several punny sentiments. Also, that paper is a new digi pack designed by Emily Giovanni – absolutely GORGEOUS!! I’ll have a few tips and tricks tomorrow for using the pack.

A new puppy!

My sister and Poppa just got back from picking up our new puppy! She has always wanted a Siberian Husky and found a breeder in our area (well three hours away) back in January. Before I show the pictures of the puppy, this was a little gift that we gave to the breeder – a candy bar.

whatchamacallit

You see, our dogs have all had candy bar names – KitKat and Twix – so it was only fitting to name this dog after a candy bar also. But we didn’t want a common name like Reeses or Snickers so after a few suggestions we picked Whatchamacallit.

The wrapper for the candy bar was made with some lovely digi paper that I printed out…wait till you see what other designs come with it! The dog image is from Asela’s recent stamp set and was colored with Copics. The Black ribbon was from the StampTV flower frenzy kit.

And now for the puppy pictures…Whatchamacallit has the pink collar. ;)
