These are my two favorite projects that I designed for this release. I really like the simplicity of them, and the bold images work perfectly for one-layer-cards.

The two stamps sets being previewed today are “Lean on Me” and “You are Not Alone”, both by Gina K. I appreciate several of the thoughtful sentiments in the You are Not Alone stamp set as well as the circular floral images. The flower images in the Lean on Me set are also fun along with the cute text used on the sentiments.

I decided that it had been a while since I made a one layer card, so i decided to try one and color it with some Alcohol Inks that I found while cleaning my stamp room.

The images are all stamped directly onto the Pure Luxury Ivory cardfront using Tuxedo Black memento ink. Though the text block was stamped off on scrap paper three times before stamping it on the cardfront.

I used a paintbrush and Alcohol Blending solution to apply the Alcohol ink to the images. A little bit of experimentation was required to get the colors just right, but I really like the soft look that was achieved.

I had a stamp class a few weeks ago and I’ll be scheduling those cards to post while I’m in Kansas this next week.

I punched the flowers out of Pure Luxury Ocean Mist and Lemon Drop cardstock and stamped the polka-dot circle into the center of them. The were then attached to the PL White cardfront using silver brads.

I stamped the sentiment with black ink onto the cardfront and then drew a line horizontally using a gray marker. The layout for this card was CASED from an older [card that I made].

It is time for another Gina K. Designs release! I have two samples to preview today using the stamp sets Hang in There and Hope is Faith.

This card uses the Hang in There stamp set by Theresa Momber. The adorable koala bear image was stamped with black ink onto Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock and colored with Copic markers. The koala was colored with E51, W-3, W-5, and 0. The branch was colored with E29, E71, and E77. The Background was colored with G21, YG63, YG67, and YG91.

The word “thanks” was stamped with black ink onto PL Ivory cardstock, trimmed and mounted with dimensionals. For the finishing touch, I added a piece of brown ribbon.

These two images are from the Hope is Faith stamp set that was created to raise money for Haiti (see below and Gina’s blog for more info). I crated the colored background using watercolor crayons and a paint brush on PL White cardstock. The butterfly image was stamped over the background with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and a paper pierced trail was made under it.

The PL White cardstock was mounted to a piece of PL Black Onyx cardstock and I trimmed the bottom with a scallop scissors. The cardfront is PL Moonlit Fog and the sentiment was stamped onto PL White cardstock using black ink and mounted with dimensionals to the cardfront. A blue button (new in this release) was added next to the sentiment.

This card uses the “Lovely Shelf” stamp set by Nina Brackett available from Gina K. Designs.

I used the large flower vase image from the “Lovely Shelf” stamp set and stamped it onto Pure Luxury Mother of Pearl metallic coardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. After the image dried I colored it with Copic markers.

The sentiment was stamped using Tuxedo Black and the three silver rhinestones were added for a little bling.

The images used on the card below are from the Life Is Good stamp set by Theresa Momber from Gina K. Designs.

The train image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a piece of Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock. The landscape images were stamped using Vivid ink; Aqua, Cobblestone, and Olive. I first inked the entire image with Cobblestone, then wiped the ink off of the trees and the reflection. Then after inking the trees and reflection with Olive, I used the Aqua ink and wiped it along the reflection to add a little blue.

The sentiment was stamped with Tuxedo Black ink and three silver brads were added around the sentiment.

I know that I’m almost a week late. I’m ready to start blogging again now that things have settled down from my trip to Africa and the Holidays have passed, and company have left.

This card uses the “Lovely Shelf” stamp set from Gina K. Designs that was released in December.

The flower image was stamped onto Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Copic markers: YG95, R00, C-1, and C-3.

The sentiment was stamped with Olice Vivid ink and I used my new Sew Mini to stitch around the edges….looks like I need to fix the tension on that.
