It’s a Boy!

I made this baby card using the Lovely Labels stamp set and the new Pure Luxury Lemon Drop cardstock – doesn’t it look delicious?

its_a_boy

The label image was stamped onto PL White cardstock using Vivid Olive ink, trimmed and then mounted to the PL Lemon Drop cardfront with dimensionals. The sentiment from the O Baby stamp set was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink into the center of the label.

I finished the card with the addition of the blue coordinating ribbon from the new Spring ribbon assortment. I tied it in a bow and adhered it to the label with a glue dot.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Lovely Labels (GKD), O Baby (GKD)
  • Ink: Vivid Olive (GKD), Tuxedo Black Memento (GKD)
  • Paper: PL Lemon Drop (GKD), PL White (GKD)
  • Accessories: Blue Gingham Ribbon (GKD), Glue Dots, Dimensionals

It is time for another Gina K. Designs release! I have two samples to preview today using the stamp sets Hang in There and Hope is Faith.

koala_bear

This card uses the Hang in There stamp set by Theresa Momber. The adorable koala bear image was stamped with black ink onto Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock and colored with Copic markers. The koala was colored with E51, W-3, W-5, and 0. The branch was colored with E29, E71, and E77. The Background was colored with G21, YG63, YG67, and YG91.

The word “thanks” was stamped with black ink onto PL Ivory cardstock, trimmed and mounted with dimensionals. For the finishing touch, I added a piece of brown ribbon.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Hang in There (GKD)
  • Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento (GKD)
  • Paper: PL Ivory (GKD)
  • Accessories: Copic markers (GKD), Brown Ribbon (GKD), Dimensionals

hope_is_faith

These two images are from the Hope is Faith stamp set that was created to raise money for Haiti (see below and Gina’s blog for more info). I crated the colored background using watercolor crayons and a paint brush on PL White cardstock. The butterfly image was stamped over the background with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and a paper pierced trail was made under it.

The PL White cardstock was mounted to a piece of PL Black Onyx cardstock and I trimmed the bottom with a scallop scissors. The cardfront is PL Moonlit Fog and the sentiment was stamped onto PL White cardstock using black ink and mounted with dimensionals to the cardfront. A blue button (new in this release) was added next to the sentiment.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Hope is Faith (GKD)
  • Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento (GKD)
  • Paper: PL Moonlit Fog (GKD), Black Onyx (GKD), PL White (GKD)
  • Accessories: White Ribbon (GKD), Blue Button (GKD), Watercolor Crayons, Paper Piercer, Scallop Scissors, Dimensionals

The Hope is Faith mini stamp set retails for $9.95. It was created to raise money for the Red Cross to help with the devastation in Haiti. $2.00 of every purchase of this stamp set will be sent directly to the Red Cross throughout the month of February.

As the first responders to disasters around the world, the Red Cross is there to help with the basic needs of these people who have suffered so much. By purchasing this mini set, you will help to make a difference to people who are desperate by supporting an organization that works tirelessly to feed, clothe, comfort and care for those in need.

Delightful

I received my stamps from the Gina K. Designs January release in the mail the other day and decided to play around with them. Below is what I came up with using the Purrr-fectly Delightful stamp set by Theresa Momber.

delightful_flowers

I used the same layout for these two cards, but swapped the colors – the card on the left uses Pure Luxury Chocolate Kiss cardstock and patterned paper from one of the Gina K. Designs digi kits. The other card uses PL In the Navy and PL Mother of Pearl metallic cardstock.

The flower image was stamped with white ink onto the dark cardstock and then a scallop border was cut on the right side of the cardfront to reveal a coordinating color beneath. The butterfly image was stamped above the flowers using white ink and a few dots of Stickles were added for some shimmer.

The sentiment was stamped onto PL White cardstock using Rich Cocoa and Tuxedo Black – the butterfly was then stamped next to the sentiment with a coordinating color. The sentiment was then mounted to the cardfront using dimensionals.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Purrr-fectly Delightful (GKD)
  • Ink: Rich Cocoa Memento (GKD), Tuxedo Black Memento (GKD), VersaMagic White
  • Paper: PL Chocolate Kiss (GKD), PL In the Navy (GKD), PL Mother of Pearl (GKD), PL White (GKD)
  • Accessories: Frosted Lace Stickles (GKD), Digi Paper (GKD), Scallop Scissors, Diminsionals
A Note of Thanks

This is another card that I designed for the card class.

The flower from “Bella’s Bloom” was stamped on PL Ivory cardstock using Rich Cocoa Memento ink. The cardbase is PL Soft Sand and the layered cardstocks are Soft Sky and Cranberry with a scallop border cut from PL Ivory cardstock.

The edges of the Cranberry cardstock was destressed and a brown marker was used to add dots to the scallop border. The sentiment is from the “Thank You Kindly” stamp set, stamped in Rich Cocoa ink and the main image was mounted with dimensionals.

Supplies:

  • Stamp: Bella’s Bloom (SU!), Thank You Kindly (SU!)
  • Ink: Rich Cocoa Memento (GKD)
  • Paper: PL Soft Sand (GKD), PL Ivory (GKD), Soft Sky (SU!), Cranberry
  • Accessories: Scallop Scissors, Brown Marker, Distresser, Dimensionals
Warm Winter Wishes

I had a card making class this last week with some ladies. I had four designs and they made 3 of each project. I’ll be uploading each design during the week and below is the first one.

warm_winter_cup

This card used Rupa Shevde’s “My Cuppa’ Joe” stamp set and a sentiment from the “Holiday Greetings” stamp set, both from Gina K. Designs.

I stamped the cup image onto Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then stamped the steam image with Tuscan Tan Vivid ink.

The cardbase is PL Ivory cardstock and I adhered a piece of slate cardstock to the bottom of the cardfront. The polka-dot pattern was made with the Cuttlebug and the polka-dot embossing folder on aqua blue cardstock. I added a scallop border to the bottom of the blue cardstock with celery cardstock and then adhered it to the cardbase.

The main image was mounted with dimensionals and the sentiment was stamped with white ink.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: My Cuppa’ Joe (GKD), Holiday Greetings (GKD)
  • Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento (GKD), Tuscan Tan Vivid (GKD), White
  • Paper: PL Ivory (GKD), PL slate (GKD), Aqua Blue, Celery
  • Accessories: Cuttle Bug, Polka-dot Embossing Folder, Scallop Border Punch, Dimensioanls
Thanksgiving Invite

I mentioned in my previous post that I had cased a card for the layout. As you can see below, this is the original card that I made and it is for Thanksgiving Dinner invites.

The stamp set I used on this card was Melanie Muenchinger’s “Year of Leaves” stamp set from Gina K. Designs. The aspen leaf image was stamped onto Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock using Rich Cocoa Memento ink.

The PL Moonlit fog was stamped on with the oak leaf image using white ink and layered onto a piece of PL Pumpkin Spice cardstock that I punched with a scallop punch. This was layered onto a piece of PL Chocolate Kiss carstock and the main image was mounted with dimensionals.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Year of Leaves (GKD)
  • Ink: Rich Cocoa Memento (GKD), White VersaMagic
  • Paper: PL Ivory (GKD), PL Moonlit Fog (GKD), PL Pumpkin Spice (GKD), PL Chocolate Kiss (GKD)
  • Accessories: Scallop Punch (SU!), Dimensionals
