Ink: Rich Cocoa Memento (GKD), Burgundy (SU!), Baja Blue (SU!)
Paper: Burgundy (SU!), Baja Blue (SU!), PL Ivory (GKD), So Saffron (SU!)

Striped Label

I hope a few people remember me. It’s been such a long time since I posted anything that I wonder if anyone checks for updates, or subscribes to my RSS feed anymore.

I photographed a few projects while I was back home during December, and I still have some photos on my computer of projects that I created before I came to Texas, so I’m going to try to post a few of those projects during the next few weeks.

Here is the first—a set of coordinating thank you cards that I brought with me to Texas.

Supplies:

Stamps: Classic Stripe (SU!), Cute & Curly (SU!)
Ink: Rich Cocoa Memento (GKD), Old Olive (SU!), So Saffron (SU!)
Paper: Old Olive (SU!), So Saffron (SU!)
Accessories: Curly Label punch (SU!), small flower punch, clear dot, pearl brads, dimensionals

You Did It

I made this quick card using the “Stars” stamp set designed by Tami Mayberry from Gina K. Designs.

The star images where stamped onto Pure Luxury White cardstock, trimmed out and mounted to the PL Soft Sand cardfront using dimensionals. The dotted line was stamped in brown ink twice and the sentiment was stamped in black ink.

Supply List:

Stamps: Stars (GKD), In Stitches (GKD), Candles On Your Cake (GKD)
Ink: Aqua Vivid (GKD), Pear Tart Memento (GKD), Aged Mahogany Ranger (GKD), Tuxedo Black Memento (GKD), Rich Cocoa Memento (GKD)
Paper: PL White, PL Soft Sand
Accessories: Dimensionals

Heartfelt Sympathy

This card was made using Jessica’s [sketch challenge] from the release party.

Heartfelt Sympathy

I stamped the butterfly image from the Hugs and Prayers stamp set by Gina K. Designs, onto Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I placed a small scrap of PL Smokey Slate cardstock behind the image and added a staple.

The cardbase is PL Green Apple with a  piece of PL Turquoise Sea adhered to the right side. I used the In Stitches stamp set to create the striped pattern. The main image was mounted to the cardfront with dimensionals and the sentiment (stamped on PL Soft Sand) was adhered to it.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Hugs and Prayers (GKD), In Stitches (GKD)
  • Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento (GKD), White
  • Paper: PL Green Apple (GKD), PL Turquoise Sea (GKD), PL Soft Sand (GKD), PL Smokey Slate (GKD), PL Ivory (GKD)
  • Accessories: Staple, Distressing Tool, Dimensionals
“Versatile Verses”

Tonight I have one more stamp set to preview before the Release Party – “Versatile Verses by Gina K.” This stamp set has a fun oval frame and several sentiments to place inside of it as I did below.

Wishes Come True

The frame  from the set was inked in black ink and stamped off onto scrap paper before stamping it on the Pure Luxury White cardstock to get a gray color. The sentiment was stamped inside of the frame using black ink and then I cut out the frame using an oval nestabilities die – it matched perfectly!

The oval was layered onto a piece of PL Smokey Slate cardstock with rounded corners, before I added four small silver rhinestones. I used one of the images from the In Stitches stamp set to create the background on the PL Turquoise Sea cardbase. I wrapped a white piece of ribbon around the cardbase and mounted the main image with dimensionals.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Versatile Verses (GKD), In Stitches (GKD)
  • Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento (GKD), White
  • Paper: PL Turquoise Sea (GKD), PL Smokey Slate (GKD), PL White (GKD)
  • Accessories: White Ribbon (GKD), Silver Rhinestones (GKD), Oval Nestabilities (GKD), Corner Rounder, Dimenisonals

Tonight I get to preview two beautiful new stamp sets: “Hugs and Prayers” by Nina Brackett, and “Seeds of Kindness” by Gina K. Both of these sets are filled with floral images (Nina’s has humming birds and butterflies too) as well as several sentiments.

Love of God

For the card above, I stamped the bold Poppy image in VersaMark onto the Pure Luxury Cranberry Crisp cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder. The cardbase is PL Soft Sand with a scallop edge created with the Tulip Boderabilities and a length of belle fiber compliments the waves of the scallops and flower petals.

The sentiment was stamped onto PL White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, layered onto vellum, secured with two silver brads and then mounted to the cardfront with dimensionals.

Bloom

This next project, I tried to create an asian/modern style with the colors and sentiment arrangement. The main flower image was stamped onto PL White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Copic Markers. BG93, BG96, BV23, BV29, and V12 for the leaves. RV02, RV04, RV06, Y06, and Y08 for the flowers. Y21, Y28, C-1, C-3, and C-5 for the pot and shadow.

The two parallel lines were created with the solid line image from the new In Stitches stamp set and the sentiment was stamped on the top line. I layered the main image over a piece of PL Sm0key Slate cardstock and then mounted the image to my PL Soft Sand cardfront.

Thinking of Cookies

I made several of these cards for Momma to give with some cookies that she gave away last week. I used a cute snoopy image from Stampabilities that I think I purchased at Jo-Ann’s.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

The “Thinking of Cookies” image was stamped with black ink onto Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock and colored with two copic markers, YG95 & BG49. The PL Green Apple cardstock was inked with a Vivid Olive ink pad to create the striped look.

The PL Green Apple cardstock was adhered to a piece of PL Soft Sand cardstock and the main image was mounted with dimensionals. For the final touch, I added a little bit of Ivory organdy ribbon to the top of the card.

Suplies:

  • Stamps: Thinking of Cookies (Stampabilities)
  • Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento (GKD), Olive Vivid (GKD)
  • Paper: PL Soft Sand (GKD), PL Green Apple (GKD), PL Ivory (GKD)
  • Accessories: Copic Markers, Ivory Organdy Ribbon, Dimensionals
